Sponsoring the community driving school – We have chosen to sponsor a new local venture, a Community Interest venture, founded by an amazingly personable & passionately driven CEO.
I met John Nicholson at a business networking group (Business Over Breakfast) based at Canterbury Golf Club. John took a great deal of time to explain to me the venture he had invested his time and a vast amount of energy into.
Several local businesses and other net-workers have also put their money where their conscience is & given John their support, which is fantastic news.
Personally, I was impressed with John’s passion for this new venture. The level of help and support he is able to offer some of those who have passed through is four wheels.
As a business owner I see applications for roles come through to me from younger people who cannot drive. Putting them at a massive disadvantage when we have only places for applicants that can drive to our client locations. Clearly capable of fulfilling the other aspects of the role.
I applaud John’s amazing attitude and thoroughly support the fact that he is capable of mentoring these less advantaged people from a place of experience. Lifting spirits and opportunity is one thing, but facilitating someone to take control. Giving them back their ability to start earning is enviously rewarding. Seeing a complete change in an individuals mental health position. For those reasons we felt we would like to regularly sponsor John, helping him to facilitate this venture.
